Fasten The ASEAN Relationship, Hit The Advance Tourism’s Large Drum

Now, tourism sector cannot be seen triffling.  There is a great contribution of tourism sector toward the economy matters. In the mid of global economy crisis today, the tourism sector is a hope to the awakening of economy. So, all countries in a world compete to advance the tourism sector.

Recently, the act of claiming Indonesian’s culture by Malaysia heard in international media mass. Malaysia put “pendet dance” in the tourism advertisement. Because of this, Indonesian’s folks showed disappointed and protest attitude. Indonesia hope that Malaysia withdraw of that claiming. Actually, Malaysia didnot declarate of the claiming. In fact, Malaysia didn’t know of the advertisement production. The advertisement made by some international advertisement company. This affair also make the relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia distantly spaced.

Understanding social symtomp, Indonesia shouldnot do this. Indonesia’s attitude is profuse. It must be understood that in this moment is about culture  although culture is becomed region identity. But, a culture cannot appear without imitation process. For example, Yogyakarta Classic Dance. Although classic dance has special characteristics, story of Yogyakarta Classic Dance adapted from Indian Story, such as Ramayana and Mahabharata. Even, that culture appear in same clump. So, culture cannot appear from a region purely.

However, now the challenge of a country is how to use the culture totally. Every country in South Asian has big potential.  There are various tourism objects in South Asian starts from historic heritage building till handy craft industries. If a country can use all of potential as good as possible, it can grow tourist’s interest for visiting the country. The diverse culture must be shown as the identity of every country in South Asian.

     Now, World Tourism pass in the new era. Tourists more trust in guide book as a manual in tour than a guide services because, there are illegal guide in some countries. Based on the service quality, obviously it as amateur because they do not concern about knowledge and ethics in giving a service towards the tourists. The information about illegal guide make worry the tourist.  “Lonely Planet” or “Rotart” Book has published in many countries in a world. The contains of this book are detail explanations of tourisms object in a country. Besides, this book also provide the new issues. So, if there are bad issues, it will affect the tourism industry. Because, tourism is definited by image.

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is regional alliance of ten independent countries. ASEAN is relationship organization. Among ASEAN members have to support the tourism’s development in South Asian. The cooperations can be accomplished by building a good image, such as prevent the broaden illegal guide that can make bad image, each country do not be selfished and always show the superiorities of each member of ASEAN. Every country in ASEAN must help each other. If the image can build well, it will grow tourist’s interest for visiting the country easily. So, every country in ASEAN should realize that ASEAN is relationship organization. The key to get success for growing tourism in ASEAN is build good image each others members and fasten the relationship.
